The resolution of the director of the SCS published today allows travel without just cause but with a negative diagnostic test for COVID-19 from or to islands that are at alert level 3 or 4<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Canary Islands Health Service makes public today, Thursday, the 29th, the resolution of the director, Conrado Dom\u00ednguez, by which the conditions and requirements that will regulate inter-island travel, both air and sea, that affect the islands that are in Alert level 3 or 4, which will be in effect between 00:00 on April 30 and as long as level 3 or 4 lasts on the islands affected by the displacement.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This resolution indicates that, if the trip is not subject to any of the exclusions included in the regulation, it will be possible to enter or leave islands that are at level 3 and 4 by presenting a negative diagnostic test for active infection (PDIA) performed in the 72 hours prior to arrival at the destination.<\/span><\/p>\n

PDIA will not be required of people who have not yet reached 6 years of age. Active infection diagnostic tests supported are PCR, antigen test, TMA and other tests based on equivalent molecular techniques: LAMP (Isothermal Reverse Transcriptase Amplification) or NAAT (Nucleic Acid Amplification).<\/span><\/p>\n

The supporting documentation for the test must be the original, written in Spanish and will be valid both in paper and electronic format. The document will contain, at least, the following information: name and surname of the traveler, identity document number, date of completion of the test, identification and contact information of the authorized health center that performs the test and technique used and negative result of the proof. In the case of antigen tests, it must also reflect the homologated specificity and sensitivity.<\/span><\/p>\n

This PDIA will not be considered as a health benefit of the public health system, so it will not be carried out by the SCS in its own or subsidized centers. However, they must be carried out in centers, services and health establishments with diagnostic capacity to carry out COVID-19 detection tests, authorized by the SCS and which can be consulted at this link<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Exclusions<\/span><\/h4>\n

-Inter-island trips between islands at alert level 3 or 4 will be allowed, without the need to present a negative PDIA, as long as they comply with these duly accredited assumptions:<\/span><\/p>\n

–Assistance to health centers, services and establishments.<\/span><\/p>\n

–Compliance with labor, professional, business, institutional or legal obligations.<\/span><\/p>\n

–Assistance to university, teaching and educational centers, including early childhood education schools, as well as language academies and educational reinforcement of subjects included in formal education curricula, conservatories and music schools, or for the preparation of selection processes in academies or training centers.<\/span><\/p>\n

–Return to the place of habitual or family residence.<\/span><\/p>\n

–Assistance and care for the elderly, minors, dependents, people with disabilities or especially vulnerable people.<\/span><\/p>\n

–Travel to financial and insurance entities or refueling stations in neighboring territories.<\/span><\/p>\n

–Required or urgent actions before public, judicial or notarial bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Permit renewals and official documentation.<\/p>\n

-Taking official exams or tests.<\/span><\/p>\n

–Assistance and care of domestic animals or farms.<\/span><\/p>\n

–National or international professional or federated training or competitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Due to force majeure or situation of need.<\/p>\n

–Any other activity of a similar nature, duly accredited.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, this measure will not affect trips made for any of these reasons:<\/span><\/h4>\n

–Displacements with origin or destination abroad, which will be governed by its specific regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Displacements with origin or destination in the rest of the national territory, which will be governed by its specific regulations.<\/p>\n

–Circulation in transit through the territorial areas indicated in the two previous sections.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Displacements between islands that are not at alert levels 3 or 4 even if they must make a stopover on an island that is at alert level 3 or 4.<\/p>\n

–Displacements between the islands of La Graciosa and Lanzarote.<\/span><\/p>\n

The resolution also states that it will be allowed to travel between islands that are, one or both, at alert level 3 or 4, to those people from outside the Canary Islands who prove a reservation in a tourist accommodation establishment registered in the General Tourist Registry of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands and are subject to the public health control regime on admission to a lodging establishment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proof of the reason for the Displacements<\/span><\/h4>\n

The accreditation of the reason for the displacement will be made through a responsible declaration that can be discarded on the SCS website at this l<\/a><\/span>ink.<\/p>\n

This responsible declaration will be collected and verified by the airlines and shipping companies before boarding and the boarding of passengers who do not provide the responsible declaration will not be authorized.<\/p>\n
